- 4. How do I uninstall ixFlashcard?
1. Why does ixFlashcard complain about a file called ixfcard_1.txt?
This file needs to be in the flashcards directory. It is the default
flashcard file that the program will open when it is started. You can
replace this file with a flashcard file of your own, but it has to be
named ixfcard_1.txt and be present in that directory.
The flashcard file should be located in the 'My Documents' folder and named
'flashcards'.
If this happens the first time you run the program, and you have the folder and
file in the correct place. Try quitting the program (by clicking on the File menu
then selecting 'Quit') then restarting the program.
2. Why do I get the "Application Error, An error was encountered while
running the program: File not found"?
This error typically occurs when an image file specified in the flashcard file
cannot be found (i.e. incorrectly named, or incorrect path to the file).
3. Why do I get the 'Application Manger cannot
install this application on your mobile device due to an invalid setup file. Reinstall
and try again' error?
This error can be attribted to the OEM of the PocketPC device - see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5Bln%5D;824409 for more information.
4. How do I uninstall ixFlashcard?
1. Goto "Settings" from the start menu (small windows icon in top left corner of the screen).
2. Select the "System" tab (at bottom of screen).
3. Tap "Remove Programs"
4. Find ixiong.com ixFlashcard
5. Tap to highlight
6. Tap "Remove" button at bottom.
7. Tap "Yes" to remove the application.
*. NOTE: The uninstall will not remove a few very small files from your device. So
you can do this manually if you like (it is not necessary, it is only if you
want to get rid of the files to conserve storage space).
8. Start the "File Explorer" - commonly found in the Programs screen.
8. Change to the "Program Files" folder
9. Delete the "ixFlashcard" directory. Could also be named "ixFlashcard301" or
"ixFlashcard106".
11. You are done.
